Philip Loose
CLUB MANAGER & HEAD TENNIS PROFESSIONAL
As a tennis player Phil represented Great Britain in the Youth Olympics and has travelled all over the world playing in representative and international tournaments and competing on the ATP tour.
Having had to retire from the professional game due to injury, Phil has now been coaching for 25 years and is one of the County Coaches. He has captained both boys and girls teams for Dorset.
Phil coaches juniors and adults from beginners to international level and currently coaches some of the top ranked juniors in the South West. He was awarded the LTA South West Coach of the Year award in both 2020 and 2022. Previous clients have gone on to gain scholarships at American Universities and compete on the ATP tour.
Phil still finds time to compete on the Senior Circuit and represented Great Britain in the World Championships in Miami. He has recently been selected to represent GB in the World Championships in Turkey in 2023. Phil is looking forward to bringing affordable, high quality tennis coaching back to the community of Corfe Mullen for all ages and abilities.
Rob Butler
Tennis Coach and U10 Performance Manager
As a player Rob respresented the county at U10 -U16 level winning various local tournaments and travelling around the counrty to compete. Rob is captain of our mens 1st team who are now competing in the national league.
"I’ve worked here at Wimborne Tennis Club for 10 years and have been very pleased with how the programme has developed. In this time being able to produce county, regional & national players helping the tennis club achieve a national pathway status and become a national pathway coach. My goal is to help everyone at the tennis club to maximise their potential in a fun and enjoyable inviroment and stay in the game for as long as possibe. "My main role at the club is Junior Tennis Manager but also love teaching adult groups and indiviual lessons"
Justin Sandever
Justin has been coaching tennis for 30 years, after graduating from the Stonebridge Tennis Academy worked in Surrey, Salisbury and in Dorset (where he played county tennis as a junior). He then spent w years working at the Caeserean tennis club in Jersey developing tennis through a local schools partnership with BNP Parisbas, through to working with elite players representing the island in the international island games competition. This included working with Stuart Parker now ranking in the worlds top 600.
He then had the opportunity to become the Head Coach for the LTA at the national tennis centre in Roehampton, where he led a team of coaches setting up a community tennis programme that opperated alongside the elite training at the centre. This also included setting up a Padel programme, local schools roadshows and working with Jamie Murray in hosting the Battle of the brits event that was held in July 2020. He is a level 5 accredited+ coach. His hobbies away from tennis include cars and guitars!
