What can you expect?
At the Red stage, children practice to serve (with an overarm throw) rally, and learn to play points. Coaches will help children to develop adaptive skills, coordination, balance & speed. Through basic instruction, children continue to prepare for the game ahead.
Notes from the coach
Fun coaching sessions focusing on basic motor skills development, coordination, and introducing them to the fundamentals of the sport in a fun and engaging way. Sessions will include activities that help improve hand-eye coordination, balance, and agility, such as simple catching and throwing exercises. Basic tennis skills like holding the racket correctly, striking the ball, and moving around the court should be introduced gradually through drills and games. All coaching will be delivered through a fun, positive and engaging atmosphere help the children thrive and develop a love for the game. Session taken by Rob Butler.
